This high energy Circus Arts Workshop will introduce the fundamentals of creating an act and give young artists an entry point to a variety of circus arts - acrobatics, juggling, clowning, balancing, and more!
With the help of Allison McDermott from Oddfellows Playhouse, children will get to try their hand at what it takes to be in the circus. 

Our professional guest artist, Allison is an Advanced Program Director of Circophony and Circus Arts. She is an artist born and raised in Middletown, CT. She grew up attending the Children's circus of Middletown where she learned to stilt, tumble, and clown and she has recently discovered her love of aerial arts. She attended the New England Center for Circus Arts' Professional Track Program in Brattleboro, VT. Allison has performed in a variety of circus shows with ArtFarm and Soviet Bloc Party and some of these she also played a roll in directing and choreography. Allison currently teaches and performs throughout New England. Join us August 18th at Sears Park!
